Tall Pines is a beautiful, modern, housekeeping resort on Wabaskang Lake. We have thirteen cabins, most of which are located on the lake front. The spacious floating docks are easily accessible from the cabins. Docks are equipped with electrical outlets at each boat slip.
Cabins all have a modern bathroom and from one to four bedrooms. The beds are made up with comforters and extra blankets if needed. The kitchens are furnished with cooking utensils and toasters, coffee pots, crockpots and microwaves. Most of our cabins have new refrigerators and electric ranges. There is a barbecue grill outside each cabin and propane cookers for frying your catch of the day.
We have 16 foot boats with 20 and 25 hp Yamaha motors and optional upgrades on motors if desired. We have landing nets and minnow buckets available. Our boat launch is concrete for easy access, should our guests prefer bringing their own boat. Bait and fuel are available on the docks. We provide lake maps to our guests and advise them of the hot spots for walleye, northern pike, lake trout, small mouth bass, and perch.
Our fish cleaning facility features a concrete floor and a large stainless steel table with running water. Also located in this facility is an ice machine and freezers. We provide ice for all of our guests.
We have potluck every Wednesday evening. We provide the meat as well as lots of camaraderie for an evening of socializing with all of our guests and some local friends and neighbors who enjoy attending.
Wabaskang Lake is 15,302 acres with 105 miles of shoreline and has several picnicking spots to enjoy a shore lunch. There are several eagles nests on the lake, along with loons, ducks, moose and black bears to enhance your fishing experience.
If you wish, we can arrange a fly-out for the day to a remote lake. Guests can be picked up from our dock, if they prefer.
To call home to family or friends, we have a public phone which accepts all major credit cards and phone cards.
We have pedal boats and canoes available for our small guests as well as our bigger guests. We have a basketball hoop and several board games upon request.
If you catch a fish that you would like to keep as a trophy, we will assist you in packaging for shipment to a taxidermist. We encourage keeping large fish for trophies or picture taking and release. We do this because our lake is not stocked and the large females continue to provide the wild fish for which we have become famous.
Our campground has seven sites with full hook-ups. There is a pavilion with picnic tables, barbecue grill and a gas cooker. There is a fire pit, for an evening campfire. The shower house is a few feet away, and offers a facility for men and women.
